If you don’t do it today, you should have already been looking to check your website traffic and where it’s coming from. Just today, I posted a more detailed article that talks about Website Traffic and where it comes from, and how to take that information and turn it into results that benefit your website with improved traffic. (In our Google Group members area…)

Below, I have listed some ways you can start to improve your traffic results by creating a tighter target area, simply by putting focus into a few places of your website;

1) Know the Keywords that bring you traffic!
Do you know what’s being searched the most on your website? Of course the best way to drive traffic to a website or blog, is with targeted keyword information. This information can be a document, article, blog post, or any tool you can use to focus a keyword. Search engines drive keyword searches and keyword searches = website traffic. Getting that traffic your competitor may be getting, or what you may be missing, is what’s important. To capture it, put things on your website related to what those people are searching for!

2) External Link Referrers
External links to your site, (links from other sites to your own) are a very good way to get more targeted traffic. The best way to get external links, is to build relationships with other website or blog owners. You create a working relationship, and in exchange, they put a link to your blog/website on their own. Their visitors will come visit you if they feel a need to do so. Google looks at this very well, because it’s called Link Popularity. The more external links a website has, it’s expected to be more popular then the one that doesn’t have as many. Getting external links are a quick way to boost some traffic!
